Heels on the sidewalk
Beggin’ for a backbeat
Don’t worry, I fight dirty
Tonight’s like a right hook
Knock you off your feet.
- Hello Brooklyn/ All Time Low

YOU GUYS. THE LOVE I HAVE FOR NOTHING PERSONAL IS INSANE.

The album is off the fucking hook and I can wait to get a copy once it drops in stores on the 7th! But knowing Singapore… *sigh* ANYWAY, I’m so stoked about music this year! There’s like a new album release from bands I like per month ;)

I was gearing up for this ranty emo post but ahhh…. what’s the point? So instead, let me tell you what happened on friday/saturday morning. In bullet form, duh! Also, character references: Bryan (friend/coursemate/fellow intern on the left) & Antonie (wicked cool tape-op-promoted-to-AE-in-line-to-be-an-editor on the right):

- Woke up at 3.30pm (take note that I was night-shifting)
- At Vivo @ 5.20. Spent 30$ on magazines because Bryan hadn’t arrived and I was bored. Yeah, free time & I don’t produce +ve results :\
- Oh! Did I mention? The both of us were watching Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen before going for work. HAHAHA
- So yeah. Watched Transformers II. FUCKING AWESOME. A++++ The stupid reviewers talking about the whole no plot/sexist themes… well, foo you. It’s a bloody action movie. It’s a bloody Michael Bay film. ROBOT ALIENS. ROBOT ALIENS. EXPLOSIONS. ROBOT ALIENS… WERE YOU EXPECTING A PRETENTIOUS ART FLICK? Dude. My mind? Fucking blown!
- Anyway, ended at 8+. Late for work. Oops? (technically, night shift is supposed to start at 10pm tho…)
- Bought venti java chip from Starbucks while Bryan bought a venti caramel macchiato TO SURVIVE NIGHT SHIFTING.
- Went to work. Some stupid shit happened. Blablabla. Start logging a fuck load of tapes for about an hour

TIME CHECK: 12MN.

Ok. I’ll stop with the point system since it’d be hard to condense the next part. So here’s the sitch: I was done helping Antonie with logging, Bryan was just transferring like… 600GB of files from Dulce (mega ext HD attached to one fcp station) to Nl01 (ifw server). Bloody thing was going to take 6 hours (100GB=1 hour) and we had to delete some old files from Dulce too but that was only possible after the transfer. So yeah. SIX HOURS TO KILL.

The three of us (A, B & Me) hadn’t had dinner yet and despite the fact that I wasn’t hungry, just decided to tag along with the guys since you know… SIX HOURS OF NOTHING TO DO. Then, I’ve forgotten who brought it up but BOOM! The idea of watching another movie cropped up! HAHAHA SEE WHERE THIS IS GOING?

Checked GV, midnight screenings were ummm…. Transformers (JUST watched), ICE AGE 3 (not interested) & Brothers Bloom (really not interested). There was also sneaks for Duplicity but only the first few rows were left. Yeah…

Checked Cathay and lo and behold, a 235am screening of Duplicity. So… yay (: Food issue was still there and after a lot of deliberating and planning… we decided to go with Macs :D

Antonie drove us down to Cathay to pick up the tickets first! Duuuuuude! I don’t really like his car’s exterior (though hahaha, you should have heard him talk to Bryan & Nigel about his chrome plates *FACEPALM*) but the interior is freaking SWEEEEEEEET! If I was a guy? I’d have a total boner for it. Haha. Digital speedometer and what the fuck else that was like this seperate dashboard that was just… ahh! Don’t know how to say. Bottom line: FUCKING COOL. And it’s so bloody spacious (he’s using it to transport his crazy ass expensive bikes) and just WOAH. Told us he bought it 2nd hand for 60,000$ and… SO WORTH IT. SO FUCKING WORTH IT.

Also, Antonie was flipping nice and treated us for the movie. Fucking ACE of him right? A++ dude. Srsly.

Anyway, drove us down to Marina Square to eat at Macs.
Fuck man, we bought so much food:
- Big Mac EVM (upsized)
- 20pc nuggets
- Large fries
- 3 boxes of CINNAMON FUCKING MELTS
- 2 oreo ice blended something

Ok. So maybe it doesn’t sound like alot. But really. It was crazylicious! I have a pic of it but it’s in my phone and that shits off & I’m lazyyyy.

SO YEAH. Freaking fun time talking and laughing and making fun of each other until like 2 when we headed back again to Cathay and I… Let’s put it this way: I was the only girl out of the three and I needed to pee badly and the toilet was freaking empty and quiet and. Yeah. Quiet. But LOL, when I told Bryan about how quiet it was he was like, you should have told us, then we’d have talked very loudly for you from next door (the guys toilet).”

Anyway, Duplicity? Fucking brilliant script in my opinion. Admittedly, the first half hour, I was fucking lost up until the first twist where the plot
started to unravel and the three of us were all: FUCK OHHHHH! Also, you kinda need to think when watching this movie to piece all the stuff up and since it was a movie from 2.30-5am… Yeah. There was a lot of groaning about heads fucking hurting from having to process the movie. But really, it’s pretty worth it. So many twists. And yeah. Clive Owen & Julia Roberts have good chemistry (:

See. I didn’t spoil you for either movie.
So just suck it up because this post is about to end.

After the movie… went back to frameworks, stayed for like 10 mins checking/clearing files and checking the systems. Left at about 5.30AM. Then Antonie was so damn nice again and dropped us off at better cab locations. He dropped me off at Hougang first (straight road down PIE to Still Road where I live at) and the both of them were so nice to wait until I got into a cab before driving off (((: Then I think Antonie dropped Bryan off at either Ang Mo Kio or some place like that.

So yeah. That’s my friday/saturday. Very fun in a messed up way \o/

Ok. I think it’s more than enough to cover the disappointing posts, eh? Here, another song to offset the wordswordswords.

Mixed drinks, mixed feelings of elation
I should’ve known it was a one night invitation
